The Psalter
In the silent night,
Under moonlight,
Inside a quiet
chapel,
Between my “yes” and
“no”.
Between my “stay” and
“go”.
Amid my worries and
my fears,
Against the happiness
and cheers.
I made a step to the
altar,
I grabbed the heavy
psalter.
I lit the candles on
the wall,
And quietly let out a
howl.
A cry of pain,
Amidst the rain.
Opened the book,
And took a look.
The words looked red
in candlelight,
My hands shook hard
in strange delight,
The burning passion
for good life,
I almost won the
endless rife.
Inside the psalter
was a song,
The one I felt to I
belong.
I sang and sang,
forget the trouble,
That was the end to my
long struggle.
